In 2017, Stillwater artist, Erik Sletten, was commissioned to paint a commemorative piece to honor to the opening of the St. Croix Crossing Bridge. Using acrylic paint on canvas, he painted three pieces. One that is hung in the Stillwater Government Center, and two that were purchased by local individuals. One of these individuals generously offered to make exclusive prints of this piece in support of the FamilyMeans School-Based Mental Health program.

This bright and beautiful painting is in pop expressionism style. This print is one of just 75 canvas wrapped prints that were created. The sale of these prints have supported school-based mental services provided by FamilyMeans in Stillwater Area High School. 

In 2024, FamilyMeans saw an 6% increase in students served through our School-Based Mental Health program. Our students, parents, and school staff are requesting more mental health counseling than ever before. 

We provide onsite counseling and education to all 11 Stillwater Schools, helping students through anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, family pressures, bullying, complicated friendships, and more.
